INCOTEC CARGO has delivered pipes for Pipeline construction

INCOTEC CARGO arranged delivery of 800 tons of large-diameter pipes produced by Izhora Pipe Mill for Yamalgazinvest – GAZPROM subsidiary company.

The transportation route was as follows – pipes were picked up ex works Izhora Pipe Mill (Kolpino) and delivered to one of the terminals of the Port of Saint Petersburg. In the port they were loaded on board of dry-cargo ships of "river-sea" type by means of gantry crane.
INCOTEC CARGO used its own trailer - MAN haulage truck and GoldHofer STZ-L semi-trailer with payload of 93.2 tons. Its maximum overall length (with extension) is 19.6 meters while the length of the loading platform is 15.4 meters. Under the Contract our trailer made 23 trips.
Pipes with their length of 18 meters and diameter of 1420 mm, wall thickness 27.7 mm and 23 mm are meant for the 2nd construction phase of Bovanenkovo-Ukhta pipeline system.  The length of 18.3 meters allows reducing the number of trunk welded joints in 1.5. As a result a pipeline becomes more reliable and cost to the consumer is going down.
From the Port of Saint Petersburg vessels loaded with large-diameter pipes will follow the Neva River and Lake Ladoga then the Svir River and Lake Onega to the White Sea – Baltic Sea Canal and White Sea accordingly. Pipes will be delivered to Kara Strait and Baydaratskaya Bay and discharged over there.
Bovanenkovo – Ukhta gas trunkline system is intended to convey gas from the Yamal Peninsula to North-Western part of Russia and then to the European consumers. Deliveries have been started in 2008. Since that time more than 700,000 tons of pipes (strength grade K60 and K65) have been delivered by IPM for the Bovanenkovo-Ukhta Project.
