INCOTEC CARGO has developed new route to Serbia

INCOTEC CARGO has arranged the transportation heavyweight and oversized cargo to NIS Pancevo Oil Refinery Plant, which is being built in partnership with Gazprom Neft, by new route.

In distinction from previous shipments of the project, dimensions of these items did not allow to arrange direct railway transportation. That is why completely new route has been worked out. Ex works JSC Uralhimmash (Yekaterinburg) the cargo has been delivered to the port of Rostov-on-Don on trucks, then sea freight to the port of Constantza (Romania). In Constantza the cargo has been reloaded on barge which delivered it to Pancevo and finally inland trucking to Oil Refinery Plant. By this very route we have shipped the second consignment already.

29th January 2012 under the Contract with JSC Uralhimmash, INCOTEC CARGO arranged transportation of the most oversized and heavyweight unit  - Rich Amine Flash Drum -  from Yekaterinburg to the port of Rostov-on-Don. The same day the Drum (weight 55 tons, length more than 15 meters, width 5 meters, height 4.5 meters) has been loaded on board of a vessel for further transportation to Pancevo via Constantza.
A bit earlier the consignment consisted of 3 heavyweight and oversized units has been shipped by this route. The weight of the heaviest unit - Feed Surge Drum - was 30 tons, length more than 17.5 meters, width and height about 4 meters. There were also Diesel Vacuum Drier (weight 25.5 tons, dimensions 15.4 x 3.45 x 3.71 meters) and Sulphur Surge Tank (weight 15 tons, dimensions 8.53 x 3.03 x 4.34 meters).

The most difficult part of the new route was the transportation on the Danube. Due to abnormal low water level in the Danube River (hasn’t been observed in this time of year for the last 70 years) the barge could move on daytime only after changing powerful tug for 2 ones with less draft, making depth measurements and reconnoitering. Despite all the difficulties delivery has been completed successfully within the contractual time limits.

INCOTEC CARGO arranges transportation of heavyweight and oversized cargo for construction of the hydrocracking and hydrotreating complex - Oil Refinery Plant in Pancevo (Serbia) - in accordance with the Contract with JSC Uralhimmash signed in 2010. The total weight of the whole consignment is 1 200 tons.

The construction of the hydrocracking and hydrotreating complex commenced 21st June 2010 within the frames of Naftna Industrije Srbije’s (NIS) refining capacities modernization. Majority interest strategic stake of Naftna Industrije Srbije’s (NIS) (51%) belongs to Gazprom Neft. Gazprom Neft’s aggregate investments into the Pancevo Refinery upgrading projects amount to 500 mln euro till 2012. In accordance with the modernization programme, complex start-up is scheduled for the third quarter of 2012.
