INCOTEC CARGO delivered equipment for Novogorkovskaya Thermal Power Plant from Czech Republic
INCOTEC CARGO delivered 2 High Pressure Drums with total weight of 134 tons for Novogorkovskaya TPP (Nizhny Novgorod Region). The transportation of equipment produced in Czech Republic was arranged by order of Podolsk Machine Building Plant JSC.
Weight of each drum equaled 67 tons, length - 15.39 meters, width - 2.46 meters, height – 2.84 meters. For transportation from Ostrava (Czech Republic) to Kiel (Germany) we used low-bed trailers of required payload. Then the cargo has been loaded on board of a ferry and shipped to the port of Saint Petersburg.
For further railway transportation of heavyweight and oversized equipment to Kstovo (Nizhny Novgorod Region) a special project of loading and lashing on a platform has been worked out and approved by Department of Special Cargo Transportation of Russian Railways.
Since the units were long-length and were out of standard platform gauge for transportation of each drum three platforms coupled together have been used. Drum was placed in the center of one platform and two others were as convoy ones.
It was impossible to load the drum on one platform shifting aside thereby avoid using two other convoy platforms as the weight of the drum was close to utmost payload of a platform. Center-of-gravity shift without any payload reserve of a platform is not allowed.
The priority task for our Customer was delivery the cargo to the place of destination within the shortest possible time. The first drum has been delivered within 24 days including time for customs clearance and the second one within 17 days.
