In December 2019 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th Shiploads of Equipment for the Second Construction Stage of Kudankulam NPP (India) were Dispatched from the Port of Saint Petersburg
By order of JSC Atomstroyexport from September till December 2019 INCOTEC CARGO arranged receipt and warehousing the equipment of 13th, 14th, 15thand 16th shiploads in the territory of the Sea Port of Saint Petersburg for NPP in India.
The shipments consisted of 2 000 items of different type of equipment with the total volume of 18 000 freight tons including heavyweights:
- 1 х Reactor Vessel – 333 tons;
- 2 х Steam Generators – 310 tons/each;
- 13 items (Passive Core Flooding System Tanks, Emergency Core Cooling System Tank, Upper Unit, Protective Tubes Unit, Core Catcher, In-vessel Core Barrel) – with the cargo unit weight from 60 up to 142 tons.
Transshipment was carried out by means of the floating crane BOGATYR-4 (Lifting Capacity 300 tons), self-propelled crane Liebherr (Lifting Capacity 140 tons) and other technical facilities of the Sea Port of Saint Petersburg, non-self-propelled SPK-1 DEMAG (Lifting Capacity 350 tons).
The Loading of the entire volume of 4 shiploads was carried out sequentially on two vessels, provided by the Indian Customer with an interval of 10 days.
On 17th December 2019 13th and 14th shipments were loaded on board «ZEA FOCUS», on 27th December 2019 15th and 16th shipments were loaded on board of «BBC SPRING» accordingly.
Taking into account the abovementioned shiploads, the total volume of the shipped equipment in the year of 2019 for the Second Construction Stage of Kudankulam NPP exceeded 29 000 freight tons and the total volume of handled cargo from the beginning of the project amounted to 99 000 freight tons.
