The First Reactor Vessel for the Second Construction Stage of Nuclear Power Plant in China has been unloaded in the Port of Saint Petersburg

Unloading of reactor vessel with its weight of 332 tons from board of a barge on berth of the Port of Saint Petersburg has been implemented on 23rd October 2014 in the Seaway Canal by means of floating crane Demag.

The process of transshipment has been carried out in proper functioning and in full compliance with Method Statement and Safety Regulations.  
Reactor vessel has been placed into storage area of the Port of Saint Petersburg on a special prepared metal construction which provides required load upon a berth. At the end of November it will be loaded on a board of a vessel of Chinese Customer.
By order of JSC Atomstroyexport on board of the same vessel it is planned to ship 2 more heavyweight items which are supposed to be transshipped via the Port of Saint Petersburg. These are Steam Generators with its weight of 317 tons each. One of them is now on route to «New Port» Railway Station of October Railways with its destination to the Port of Saint Petersburg. The Steam Generator is transported on a linked-type transporter, its loading gauge is H8880.
As we have already reported, by order of Machine-Building Plant ZiO-Podolsk our Company has designed, manufactured and delivered to the Port’s warehouse 2 sets of saddles for these Steam Generators. The 3rd and 4th sets of saddles are in the process of manufacturing. They will be delivered to the Port as the cargo arrives.
