On 25th December 2014 the loading of the 4th shipment of equipment for the Tianwan NPP construction (Units № 3 and № 4) on board of m/v “ANNETTE” has been completed.

By order of the Shipper JSC «ATOMSTROYEXPORT» 41 items of equipment have been loaded with their total weight of 851 tons, including two Steam Generators (318 tons each).

Steam Generators were loaded on board the same way as the previous shipment on board of m/v “HUANGHAI STRUGGLER” - by means of floating crane “Demag”, the rest equipment by means of shore cranes.

Operational scheme of “Demag” activity has not changed significantly, with one exception – this time the loading of the vessel has been arranged on berth No 40 of the Port of Saint Petersburg. Berth change excluded dependence of the loading process on passenger and cargo ship traffic in the harbour of the Port of Saint Petersburg and optimized its time.  

As before, the floating crane “Demag”, upon loading the heavyweight on its pontoon on berth No 23, moved towards the board of the vessel, moored alongside, loaded a heavyweight on board of the vessel and returned to the berth of storage for the next heavyweight unit.

As a result, the shipment was loaded on board in full volume and on due time.

The next vessel for loading the 5th shipment is planned for the end of January 2015.
